Clean Streets & Creeks

The Clean Streets and Creeks clean-ups are an effective prevention program to reduce the threat of marine debris and ensure that the marine life and environment are not impacted by our local rubbish. Each year Eco Barge aims to run four large community clean-ups at different locations throughout the region. These activities are a great way for time-restricted volunteers to get involved as it only requires a few hours of your time. It is also a great activity to bring the kids along to, children of any age can get involved and be proactive in the prevention of marine debris.

As well as our own clean-ups we offer local businesses and organisations to “adopt” a clean-up. They can pick the date and location, we organise the event and provide all the equipment. By teaming up with local businesses we are expanding our network of volunteers and increasing participation and awareness.

If you would like to get involved in this project as a volunteer or to “adopt” a clean-up please register as a volunteer here, or contact us via email at [email protected].
